The National Association of Amateur Ball Players (NAABP™)
is one
of the top rated youth basketball programs in the United
States. Our program is designed to teach basketball fundamentals
to all participants in a fun and exciting atmosphere.
Play with Your Friends
Players can register to
play NAABP™ basketball as an
individual or as a team. So if you're already assigned to
a team you can continue to play with your neighbors and
friends. If you're not assigned to a team we will do our
best to assign you to a team. Either way you'll be able to
compete and learn the game of basketball at your own
pace. The NAABP does not guarantee a coach will be in place
for every team. All coaches are parent volunteers.
The NAABP does provide access to online training
material for all
volunteer coaches.
Look Like the Pro's
NAABP™ players wear the best uniforms in the
nation. Our standard uniforms are made of 100% Pro Mesh
with tackle twill (stitched-on) letters and numbers - a
$75 value (shipped from our offshore supplier). NBA/WNBA
Replica uniforms are available as an upgrade. Teams must
register on or before October 31st in order to receive the
standard NAABP or NBA Replica uniforms. Teams that are created
after October 31st will receive
a dazzle uniform from one of our local suppliers.
Exciting Rule Changes
Division 1 (NBA)
/ Division 2 (NCAA)
Review
NAABP Handbook
During the 2005-2006 winter basketball season the NAABP™
introduced Division 1 (competitive)
and Division 2 (recreational)
play. Division 1 play is for experienced teams while
Division 2 play is for new teams or teams that consist of
players just learning the game of basketball.
Teams will be assigned to Division 1 (competitive)
or Division 2 (recreational)
after the NAABP Jamboree weekend. The NAABP Jamboree will
allow the league office to evaluate the skill level of all
registered teams. There will be a Division 1 and a Division
2 Champion in each age group!
Volunteer Organization
The National Association of Amateur Ball Players
is comprised of 100% volunteers. Although we can assign your
daughter to a team we cannot guarantee a coach will be in
place. Therefore, we encourage parents to become volunteer
coaches.
Updated Player and Coaches Training Information
The NAABP™ has developed online
training material for it's players and coaches. Our training
material will help improve the overall skill of our basketball
players and assist with game day preparation for our volunteer
coaching staff. Parents are encouraged to become a
volunteer coach.
Refund Policy
The league office will issue a full refund between
September 1st and October 31st. After that time we will issue
a 40% (partial) refund since the league office would have
paid the required association, membership and insurance fees
to our national partners. Partial refunds will be issued
until December 31st. After December 31st the league office
will not issue refunds.
